The Dignitary Protection Team (DPT) is responsible for coordinating and working VIP / Dignitary protection details. The Dignitary Protection Team is a specialized team tasked with ensuring the safety and security of high-profile individuals, government officials, politicians, foreign dignitaries, executives, and other individuals with a heightened risk. The DPT works with local, state, and federal partners to ensure the protection of these individuals from potential threats, both in public and private settings. DPT members are selected from certified law enforcement deputies from throughout the agency. Upon selection, the team member will undergo a Dignitary Protection Training course and will attend regular team training.
